Emily Hoppmann majored in Biology and Chemistry at the University of South Carolina and was awarded her Bachelor's degree magna cum laude. After she graduated from USC, she went on to the University of Georgia. While she was at UGA obtaining her Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine, she tracked exotics/small animals with Heather Wilson-Banon and Steve Divers. After several years in private practice working with small animals, Emily decided to go back to school to focus on her work with exotic animals. She did a year-long internship in Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery at Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services in Virginia with Dr. Scott Stahl.
