I have not taken my guinea pigs here (I recommend Madison Avenue Veterinary Clinic in Fair Oaks), but I have taken many other animals, like dogs and horses, here over the years. They are VERY hit and miss. Their staff is so large and diverse you almost never know what you're going to get. Some of the doctors are fantastic, and some you never want to see again. Overall their care is very good. Their hospital is popular for a reason! I would just recommend only going under a personal recommendation for the particular vet you are going to see. And if you do get a lousy visit, it may not be representative of what you may get the next time.
LBVC has a diverse staff who specialize in exotics to farm animals, and they operate 24/7, 365 days a year. They are one of the few emergency facilities that can treat your gecko, your guinea pig, your box turtle, your cat, your dog, your horse or your llama.
